During the period between 4/17/2009 and 4/26/2009, Shorty's Sunflower Cafe will be running their annual Meals on Wheels Dine Out fund-raiser.  The waitstaff really get behind this event along with the owners, George and Liz Bieber.  Diners are offered raffle tickets, and the restaurant solicits businesses to contribute advertising and raffle gifts. 

Please stop by and have a delicious breakfast or lunch, and buy some raffle tickets to support a great cause!

Thanks to the generosity of Shorty's Sunflower Cafe, and your support, our homebound elderly will continue to receive two nutritious meals and a friendly visit from a compassionate volunteer five days a week.

About Meals on Wheels
Each weekday Family Services' Meals on Wheels program provides two meals, a hot lunch and a cold supper to refrigerate, to approximately 170 homebound elderly and disabled individuals in Pottstown, Royersford and Lower Perkiomen Valley. Community volunteers personally deliver over 85,500 meals a year, bringing nourishment and friendship to those most in need.
